How Do I Update My BIOS?

Note about flashing your BIOS: BIOS updates are written in order to correct specific issues within a BIOS. If the BIOS update you have downloaded does not describe a fix for a specific problem you are having, then updating the BIOS will more than likely have no effect on your system. While updating your BIOS, if you experience a power outage while flashing your BIOS, improperly flash your BIOS, or flash the wrong file into your BIOS, you can irreparably damage your motherboard.

For all other models of motherboard please follow the instructions below:

(1) Save the BIOS file and the AWDFLASH.EXE file to a bootable floppy disk. (Download AWDFLASH.EXE )
(2) Restart the computer.
(3) Press DELETE a few times while the computer is booting up, this should take you into CMOS setup.
(4) Enter Advanced BIOS Features from the main menu.
(5) Set FLOPPY as the first/primary boot device
(6) Press F10 to save and exit BIOS and insert your Floppy Disk
(7) After the computer reboots, boot to the A:/ prompt and type AWDFLASH.EXE. Insert the file name when prompted, this filename is case sensitive, and the .BIN must be capitalized.
(8) Follow the onscreen instructions
(9) Once the update is complete, allow your computer to reboot.
